Her compatriot, Kaká, will vie for the men’s award with Manchester United wing Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal and Barcelona’s Argentine wonder boy Lionel Messi. Kaká has revealed that he would like to see Lionel Messi win the Ballon d'Or ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo this year. He seemed to rule himself out of contention.

He is the younger brother of contender Jose Miguel Cotto and cousin of Abner Cotto.
